my wifi has just stop working in my house once i got it did work great now

some times it works most of the time it does not

i have wireless n router and a n card in my laptop

i suggest you get an ethernet cord...wireless is just not practical!

thanks but cant run a ethernet cord from where my desktop is to the back room

what is really odd is that after a long time to hook it up it worked great for a few months now off and on u just never know whats your going to get

ok if you say soo, only other thing i can say is get an amplifier to increase the range of your wifi..ANd don't forget to use passcode for wifi. If others can share it, it also slows than the speed.

password 1st thing i did, i will look to amplifiers
i think u should only go like 20 feet with an ethernet cable i more then that

Hammer... a friend of mine works at a local school in the IT section. When I got a router I needed a longer cables... He said there would be loss a of signal with a longer "phone socket to router" cable but NOT with a longer ethernet... at his home he has ethernet cable at about 45ft.

If it has suddenly stopped working for no real reason, my best suggestion (especially if you have no clue where it went wrong) would be to reset EVERYTHING. Reset the router, reload the router drivers and re-setup the connection. Hopefully that'll give it the kick up the arse it needs :)

Good advice! ... many PC issues can be solved by switching off and re-booting

yupper s The Whole re-booting thing, I do that to my phone and lots of other things daily.

Squallmuzza great im going to sit down and do that within the next few days

yesterday i download one of them wifi loctors and jump on someone else open network
i dont want to do that all the time not safe and a lil slower then what mine is .

I have a ipod touch it for the most part works fine on my wifi network
only drops at times( just a few time) when i try to steam music for the most part ( like i hart radio & pandora.


side note i love the ipod touch i didnt even knew i wanted one till i touch one wow i can see why everyone loves the iphone( i dont have a use for an iphone too much monthly
i use a per paid phone i buy 1000 text a month for 10 bucks make a phone call just a few times i have a landline and at my last job i was always on the phone.
