Hi Amirza I had the same problem as you are experiencing with the bluescreen my friend did you do a windows update because the reliability updates stuff my windows 7 install and kept doing the bluescreen memory dump.

My Suggestion is to not do the reliability updates because i think that's the cause of the problem since I've not done those updates my computer hasn't crashed nor as the bluescreen occurred my friend!:).

Hope this will help you my friend!:) and almost forgot AVG Free is good but can slow down your computer performance including the net which i found out that info from a computer tech awhile ago and AVG free doesn't always capture virus and Trojans 100% of the time my friend!:)

I notice in the googled forum links you posted that many of the people who have this problem have installed a Win 7 update on their Vista machines, maybe this is also a factor... there seems to be less instances with machines that are supplied with Win 7 installed.

As regards free anti-virus I strongly recommend AVAST.. it's never let me down.

A few more tips, for what it's worth:

  • Blue screens happen when there is a three-way collision between a buggy program, a buggy hardware driver, and Windows. Win 7 can often catch those before they happen and will alert you down in the status bar. When that happens it will want to send a trouble report to Microsoft. Within a couple of days Microsoft will send back a solution (if it is known). Go to Control Panel and open the Action Center and see if anything is listed there.
  • Have you recently installed a new program? Downloaded and installed something from the Internet? You can uninstall the program and restart your computer and see if that makes it more stable.
  • Also in the Action Center, take a look at Windows Updates (bottom left corner of the Action Center screen). On the updates screen hit Check for Updates and see if there are any Important Updates and install them.
  • Also check for Optional Updates . If there are any driver updates for your laptop, install them. (Graphics drivers are updated often, and could be causing your problem).
  • While you are in the Updates screen, turn on Automatic Updates. Click on the Settings option on the Updates screen. I agree with vasilis21 - receiving updates regularly keeps your computer secure. When hackers publish a vulnerability in Windows, Microsoft releases a fix to protect you from that threat. If you are not getting the latest updates, then your machine is a hackers dream come true.
  • Now is a good time to make sure that all your important data is backed up somewhere. Some people copy files to an external hard drive. Others use an online service to save data "in the cloud" so they can get it back from anywhere on any computer.

Cheers!

Another tip:

Set a Restore Point before installing new software or making major changes to your PC... then if you get problems you can return your PC to how it was before you changed things.

Blue screen could actually indicate also a failure in hd due to bad sectors, if this happens and you know there arent any software or hardware conflict, I recommend immediate backup cause it will only take time till your hd will be unusable and you have to reformat it.
