Hi guys
I have WinAvi. AVS Video Converter and (courtesy of this Board) X Video Converter. They normally cope with any common file format when it comes to convertion to Avi - my preferred file storage type.
But if there is a problem, it is more often than not where the source file is a wmv. A freeze in the conversion process is a typical fault. Or even if converted notionally to an avi file (X Video Converter makes the fewest slips in converting), then other programs such as AVS Video Converter just don't "recognise" the end-product. This is especally annoying if you want to make use of the editing functions of thye latter - like Auto Contrast.
Can anybody throw some light on this wmv trait? Is it because of DRM?
If a wmv file is broken, how can you fix it? A nice free program would be just dandy!
Thanks in advance.
