Recently, FileSonic has some download problems, so I'm much frustrated as a poster of files.
I know Wupload is not a recommended file hosting server but how do you guys think the sever is as a backup server?

I think it's excellent - from a downloader's perspective, it's quick, doesn't make you jump through excessive hoops (like captcha) or mislead (for example, having flashing "download now" buttons that lead to unwanted software, live jasmin, or whatever else).

Wupload = Filesonic

Both are plagued by storage issues. I have quite a few TBs in Filesonic and most of my files now are going corrupt or they get deleted from the system (not by DMCA).

Try Mediafire as a storage backup, they are quite reliable.

I was given a free one-month premium account on Wupload. The download speed is very good, comparable with other premium services. However, for about one out of ten files I try to download, that particular file is extremely slow to download -- like an hour for 200MB. I try a day later and it downloads AOK. I've noticed the same problem with Filesonic.

Upload function on that file host doesn't work well,
so I think I should give it up.

After an incredible period of growth in such a short period of time, we have had to make the tough decision to close our affiliate program as it is no longer financially viable for us to continue it.

It seems wupload may be in trouble. I wondered why some of its downloads were painfully slow or simply stopped part-way.

Wupload's problem appears to stem from rapid growth which may have been too rapid. It has closed its affiliates program, there's rumour (no proof) that it has run out of money and that it may be on the verge of closing. There's even wilder rumour that it could take filesonic with it.

Worth bookmarking just to see what the site's self proclaimed 'bad-ass' owner is up to. It becomes clear why putting performer names, studio names and titles in posts or in download links is a really bad idea. All so much easier for him if we helpfully provide all the information he needs to do his work.

^ I don't think that information is new. Almost everyone knows Wupload is Filesonic And its not the same with the Hotfile case, Wupload closed because they just give out money more than they are taking in so its really a sinkhole, not because they were 'pressured' or anything like that.

I didn't say it was new, Stoic, the post comes from September 22. I put 'insider' in quotes for a reason. The first responder says everyone knows wup and FS are run by cousins.

Wupload hasn't closed, by the way. I'm still busy downloading files from there.

why not try megaupload...and wupload will close it's affiliate programms only as of november 28th...there is a notice on that link above.
