My first ever forum so if i tread on any toes hold back the punches aight?

Well i'm new here if that wasn't obvious enough so here is my first topic. 'Current Problems', how is everybody? got any problems you can't talk to people in your life? If so spill it out, i'll be the first one.

Hmm....i'm nearly 22yrs old, have a tight-knit family and i may be bisexual!
You may all be thinking...where's the problem? Well, that's just it, i'm nearly 22 and i never had..............any encounters, none....i get approached by girls all the time in uni but i was always shy. Then i started to notice guys.....i know, i know, you've heard it all before but the thing is i can't help how i feel and if my family ever found out, i'd be dead! haha, serious, i have 9 cousins i live with and we're so close it's creepy (not that kind) so you can imagine if the youngest ever admitted it.:whew:

I don't know what to do....first thing's first, i have to finish my degree and kickstart my career but, i dont think i can pretend anymore, it's kinda painful, hah how embarrasing right? 22, and a virgin............with a friggin army for a family

Hi Aidan,
No I don't think that you should be embarrassed at still being a virgin at 22. I don't think that you should just rush into a sexual encounter just to lose your virginity. It is obvious from what you have said that you are somewhat confused still in your sexuality. So my advice would be to sort those out and go with what you feel is right. I was brought up in a large close family as well and I am glad to say that they have always accepted the fact that I am gay. Some were shocked at first, but have never treated me any differently then they always have. I think that if you and your cousins are as close as you say then they may already have an inkling. Meanwhile I would finish your degree and maybe then try to move out on your own or with friends to a less claustrophobic environment, meanwhile until the right person comes along rely on Rosy Palms and her five sisters

Hey Aiden,
I agree with Chelseafan. There is nothing to be ashamed of that you are 22 and still a virgin. In fact that says some good things about you I think. You only lose your virginity once, so make it special, and with someone you really love.
Take some time to work out who you are. Whether you are more drawn to women or to men. Think it through, there is no rush. And when you work out which is more comfortable, live and be happy with who you are. Your family know you, and hopefully they will accept you the same, no matter what your sexual orientation, because you are still the same great person.

I am glad to say I have no great problems, thanks to family and friends, I have a very good support group around me. The only thing that they can't help me with is helping me pick the correct lottery numbers.

Friends = both real life and virtual.

What is the deal with this virgin thing anyway? I've had sex and it has been in a wrong situations and with wrong people and it doesn't leave a good fealing. And to go back to sex, I'm gay but I don't like anal. Neither ways!
And problems I always have... stress, funerals, love etc. but I just try paddle on with up-beat melacholic attidute:thumbs up:

Thanks for everyones support, ill try and find a way out of this, i usually have a lazy, cool attitude to problem solving, they manage to sort out in the end, and i never stress about things ubut this has got me from a blind corner, if u knw what i mean

so i totally understand what you mean, maybe you should clear your mind a bit, decide on your orientation, and maybe you will know if you really want or need to tell them or not

Haha its nce someone can relate, i keep thinking its a phase as i often heard others say it but i highly doubt it, i was always somene with strong sense of self so i doubt things could go awry

While I had always tried to be as out(but manly ;D) as possible I had situations where I had to just shut it, it's hard, I'm 26 and there are still ppl that dont know about me(family of course), but then again those are the ppl I ended up losing any connection I had... You said you're approached by girls all the time and started to feel attraction to guys, first things first, do you feel attracted to girls at all? If not or if it's not the same as you feel for guys, then you might have to remember one thing, your "army" of a family is close to you, are you going to manage to hide it forever without creating a distance, there's a lot to consider I know, but we usually just notice we grew apart from those we grew up with after is a bit late. I'm not saying that you should rush and tell em either, but it would be weird to push you b4 under the bed if one of them showed up at ur home later on, uh? ^^ And damn, 9 cousins... I'm such a perv that I cant stop thinking about what I'd plot to get some weird action xD
