Arumbob and Xman 101 (btw 101, what a respectable age. And I thought that I was with my 64 years an oldie) I agree with both of you. I adore the internet. It is one of the best inventions of modern life. But also the radio was sensational in its time. Both inventions create a virtual world in your brain. The main difference is that in case of the radio you have to invent your own pictures. I like that point. It gives you more freedom of thinking than the computer with its monitor. I have since several years a messenger contact with a gay here in The Netherlands. We "do it" without cam or pictures. I don't know how he looks like, the same for him. It works very refreshing to have a contact on a pure spiritual basis. So we keep it that way: our radio contact.

Yes, they were beautiful, but they were so much more than that. Duesenbergs were technological marvels, the first cars to have 4 wheel hydraulic braking systems, when most had cable brakes and some only rear brakes. The model J and SJ had 32 valves and dual overhead cams, features that would not be common for another 50 years.

And even the motors were drop dead gorgeous... P

Of coarse my all time fave is just about any Duesenburg...

But for practicality, I'd probably go for a 1959 Porsche 356-A Convertible D...

All the looks of a Speedster, but with a fully trimmed interior and roll up windows, speedsters had stripped down interiors and a flimsy top with side curtains...
The great thing about being a gay man is that a two seat sport car IS perfectly practical...:rofl:
