This early form of mass thought control and social compliance to ruthless authority evolved into a number of religious, economic and political social control mechanisms which have continually determined or affected the course of history up to current times in an ongoing bid to diminish the personal liberty of ordinary folks in order to further benefit the wealthy few who control the central banking system and the petroleum & arms industries.
Now I realize that some of this seems like it's in tin foil hat territory, but it's not. This is a SERIOUS film for thoughtful people.
I would recommend that one download and read the Zeitgeist: The Movie Companion Source Guide PDF in tandem with viewing the movie as the subject matter it touches upon is quite detailed.
