I'm getting the "Access denied, please login or register". message too, it can't be about the limit for free users because i haven't downloaded from rg in several days, i don't know if it's a regional problem, i'm in mexico.
What do you think? is this a temporary problem or free users will have to register?

just register as a free user - it's not a big deal - create and use some fancy Email-account - and see what's happening - should that still not work with your downloads and the Rapidgator-complaints here on GH should continue like grazy - either RG is gone from the www - sooner or less -or the GH-Admins have banned RG on GH before that.

When I checked that link earlier I just opened the first page, nothing more - just tried a link and I got "Access denied"

thanks for another panic ..

at the moment works only small & exotic hosts like hench, ryu etc. with bad conditions for leechers & uploaders

rapidgator was (is) one of the last stable filehosts

nevertheles is the trend: free registration for free leechers on all filehosts

this takes 10 seconds

and ppl can use fancy accounts

remember:

- uploaders works many hours for nothing

- filehosts give servers & capacities for nothing

If there is a problem, it seems to be either over or regional. All the RG links checked today appear normal and I'm just downloading something I don't want as I type.

However, if you take a look here, you'll see that the site may have been down for a period and was experiencing very long response times.

I was under the impression that uploaders received payment (albeit tiny per file) when files are downloaded, and money for ads, etc. Please validate that as untrue. Thanks.

I guess nobody here has to validate anything re. the RG-conditions as you can find all informations on their website.

Maybe RG is paying some "micro-cents" to the uploader - YEAH :thumbs up: - they (these terrible uploaders and posters

) all make a fortune especially when they post here on GH stuff for which they have payed before to the studio to get this stuff and are willing to share this stuff with GH-forum-members "FREE OF CHARGE" :rofl:

BTW: last night - I was out with friends - I was told that a RG-uploader was listed the very first time in Forbes:

Thanks for that. I did look, and while I am not saying in any way that uploaders don't work at it, the site pretty much indicates that is what they are doing - working at it. Seems like a pretty viable cash stream for volume uploaders.

but i'm afraid that some leechers think

- ALWAYS pays friendly uploaders money for website logins

- ALWAYS uploaders have much time for sharings/uploads

- ALWAYS can give a Company Bandwidth / Servers for 0,00 $

YES - you are absolutely right

Too bad that I didn't find this marvellous "cash-money-machine" called RG some time earlier - some RG-uploaders - like me - still have to pay for their BIG MAC MENU in cash without beeing listed in forbes so far :worried::angry:

Look positively at what's happening with RG, JamesK, maybe they are forcing you to be on a diet because you will not be able to eat your daily Mac Menu

Now talking seriously, it's very sad to see some people not valuating the work that the uploaders do and just blaming them for those cents they earn when someone download one of his files. Sometimes the effort of getting those files and uploading them aren't worth those cents.

Oh my! I wake up every day at 5.30 and I come back home from work at 19.30 to earn my low salary and I had the solution for a better life under my eyes :duh:

OK, let's understand what is happening here.

1. I have asked several times over a year or so if people gat anything from the upload sites, as a matter of interest.

2. The deafening silence gave me my answer - yes they do.

3. I have also suggested for quite some time that titles, labels, etc. be made more accurate, assuming that the hard working posters would want more people looking at their threads, instead of having them ignored because of the often inaccurate, and obviously misleading info that is posted.

4. The sarcasm (which wasn't very good frankly) wasn't necessary. I understand that it takes time. I understand that there are reasons to do it. I was only looking for improvement for everyone's benefit.

Jeez. I mean, obviously people are making some profit out of it, otherwise there wouldn't be bunch of the same videos posted over and over and over again on daily basis. Now, no one is saying that it's possible to make millions that way, nor that everyone who's uploading is into it just because of the money - not that it would be a bad thing in the first place, mind you.
I really see no need for so much passive aggression.
