Carl Sagan was one of the best "TV scientists", able to make what might appear to most a very stuffy and complicated subject very popular and there is no doubt he influenced many kids of the time to go into science.

His 1970s series "Cosmos" is still considered groundbreaking and fondly remembered by those who watched it. I loved it !! He helped influence the UK's Brian Cox (ex member of "Blur") to follow in his footsteps. Was listening to an interesting programme about Carl Sagan a few weeks ago that Brian Cox contributed to.
