A question for Megauploaders.

For the past 3 days my download tallies have not been updated. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm wondering if it's their way of skating around awarding reward points or if it's a system glitch. I could care less about the rewards but I like to know what people are downloading so that I can tailor my uploads to suit.

I wrote an email 2 days ago and they said it was a problem that would be resolved shortly but so far it still hasn't been fixed, for my account at least.

The same situation for over a month after they said "You currently have insufficient Hotlink quota" on my Filemanager page. I have no hotlinking.

But today, I uploaded a new file and I can see the download tally of that file increased.
Downloading has no problem, though the download tally looks a little out of order.

Yeah frota, my downloads started counting again about a week ago. I've read several post on other forums where this happens regularly and you do not get credit for the downloads while the counter is off. I guess it's their way of limiting reward points though it wouldn't matter in my case because most of my files are too large to count.

All in all, they're a great service especially for free users, but if someone is most interested in the rewards program I'd recommend they use a different host.

I don't need any reward points, either, but I like MegaUpload, as my files live long there and the uploading/downloading speed is extremely high.

The points are still being counted.

They are just hiding it until their new reward system is up and running.

my points yesterday was 7433, today 7739.

I would not suggest redeeming points yet though as it may not work and risk loosing points.

They're counting now because they turned the counter back on. It was off for about a month and no downloads were counted during that time. Like I said it's a great service but if I cared a hell of a lot about the rewards, I'd go elsewhere.

ahhh ok I see sorry. I thought they were still counting for the last month but did not show it.

I too use it for the good up/download speeds. The points are just a bonus.
