Correct! Nothing against rules which are helping to reduce this Covid-Pandemia.And everyone from north to south has the SAME rules!
But what happens here is the total confusion. 16 federal states and 16 different rules. And the very best - now higher courts start to overturn some of these illogical rules. I think even politicians should at first think and after it act!

I guess I should be happy that Sweden is NOT a federation with XYZ number of states and XYZ sets of rules...

We've just got ONE set of rules that anyone can be disappointed with or happy about!!!

And that it is what I would wish soooo much here too. Federalism isn't bad - but a disaster in such a thing like this pandemia. We have a saying that applies: Viele Köche verderben den Brei (Too many cooks spoil the broth). And that is more than true - we can see it day by day!

The border runs right down the middle of the main road - and for 2 weeks those in the welsh half were on lockdown, with the shops and pub closed and residents were not allowed to cross the road into England, which was all open. Then as Wales released their lockdown England went into one so now the pubs and shops in the english half are all closed but they are open in the welsh half - but still no-one is allowed to cross the border

Honestly - it sounds like a joke - but it is the normal insanity! But one thing is reall good - we here in Germany are not alone!!!!

A similar story from Chester (also on the border). As cinemas are all closed a company planned to set up a drive-in film show for a few nights over Halloween in the car park of Chester's football ground. It was to be scary-movie themed showing such as Nightmare on Elm Street; Scream; Hocus Pocus and Halloween etc.

Then Wales went into lockdown - no problem as even though the stadium is in Wales the car park is in England.... then they realised the toilets in the corner of the car park were in Wales so had to hire Port-A-Loos and stand them in the English side :rofl::rofl:
