I have 5 years younger and 10 years older. Ofc it's not some strict rule, but more like the baseline of age gap I usually seem to like. And 5 years younger is really a stretch. Best is usually some one as close to my age as bossible. Again, not a rule but that's how it usually has gone

I think it REALLY depends on the state of life you are at.
The difference between 18 and 22 is HUGE, but, the different between 60 and 64 is tiny.
I don't think you can put a rule on it. I think it's down to the relative maturity of both partners. If you are mentally at the same level of maturity, it should be grand.

my future husband is 21 years younger than I am. We moved in together after 2 years and everything works fine. I think if both partners have the same "maturity level" the age does not matter. (only thing that drives me crazy is his playstation addiction - I am too old to sit hours in front of a monitor (if it isn't porn)

I like guys older than me. I've hooked up with age differences between 0 and 25, and only the older ones interest me. At the moment I'm hung up on a guy who is 17 years older than I am, but he doesn't want anything more than a physical relationship :'(

It's wierd if you think it is. But if you are both happy and get a long, does it really matter? Personally I find 18 year olds always too young for my taste nowadays, at least sex/relationship vise. My taste has matured with my own age, which I like a lot

As I've mentioned several times in earlier posts, my first bf was 18 years older than myself and we were together for almost 4 years. After that, the next guy was 10 years older and we were together for about five years...so it can work...besides...I've learned a lot and I have become a "wise soul" for my age as well due to all that I've learned from those relationships.
