My grandma had the most secure mango tree in the world. Nobody would go near it. On the bottom of the tree she left a messy wood pile, which became home of a cobra (we say "spoon snake"). My gran named her "Matilda", but I think it was a boy. She was not at all bothered by a snake in her garden, but her neighbours were, and wanted to kill it. So my grandma lied and claimed she had eggs, and it would be cruel to hurt a mummy....
She even left boiled eggs for the snake, which she sometimes ate.
