I just stumbled over the pic above on Friday and fell in love with the cuteness.

i was given a copy of the novelization (or original book) of the movie in my 20's
and found many parallels in character between myself and shane

That opens a whole new conversation but I think it does to some extent, perhaps partly to how others react to you. There is probably some psychology involved somewhere - but not at 8 in the morning

The book was excellent and, if I remember, the movie followed it very closely.

In Harms Way, a later war movie, is , in my opinion, one of the better of John Wayne's war films and Brandon was looking great by then too

a talented actor...even as a young child in 'The Member of the Wedding" on Broadway and in the film. He grew to be quite handsome...not sure what caused his death at such an young age.
