Having never played any of the games in this series, this makes me want to skip part 2 and go right to part 3. (Don't have the first one 'cause I'm on a PS3.)

There should be. Importing your Mass Effect 2 safegame (on xbox and pc) transports all your decisions from part 2 over to part 3 e.g. which crewmembers survived in the end of part 2. It should be the same on PS3.

All in all the consequences are not as big as they seem. some characters may appear or may not, you can rekindle old loveaffairs or not and so on. The overall story and the crappy ending will remain all the same.

Personally i would recommend playing part 2 first. The storyarc is designed as a trilogy and should be played as such. Mass Effect 1 is not on PS3 but there is an interactive recap of ME 1 on the Disc of PS3´s Mass Effect 2.

Deffinitely worth playing ME2 first if you're on PS3. Even more worth playing all three on XBOX or PC. The game is fantastic, even if the ending is a bit contraversial

ok i was new to the mass effect world and ive now finished mass effect 3...
omg soooooo enjoyable!!

nice action levels intercut with building ur relationships with the crew and possibly ur lover
i sooo enjoyed trying to get into the guys pants!! lol

what has me ever so slightly annoyed was i persued the pilot and won him of course with my irish charms!
but after some reading when i finished i could have went after kidian, who i didnt know you could persue! grr!! would have been hotter!! lol
there was such an undertone with kidian throughout the game i should have went after the hunk! lol also a much hotter sex scene!!
much hotter than the one that was leaked here ages back..

oh well ill start over again and ill persue kidian this time! lol

I have all 3 on PC. THIS GAME TRILOGY HAS NO EQUAL!:heart:
The gay romance options in ME3 are good for both sexes.p ME1 & 2 favor lesbian and straight.
As far as overall game enjoyment I like ME2 best.
