Anybody Having Hotfile Problems?

I have a HF premium account and have never had problems until the last few days. Sometimes when downloading a movie file, the whole file will not download but it doesn't hang. It appears the file has downloaded completely but the size is too small, which is confirmed when I go to play the file and it's not complete. When this has happened, I've been able to redownload with no problem but it's a pain in the backside.

Now, today, for the first time, I'm getting 500 - Internal Server Error messages repeatedly when I try to access certain files.

My account is still in good standing so no problem there.

But I was going to post some movies and been getting the 500 - Internal Server Error


in the am last nite i was getting tons of 404 errors

The hotfile servers are down. I think they are working on this. Sometimes it workes in the last hour somtimes not.

Hope they will be back soon :worried:

Me too! I've been trying to download a movie but I still get the "500 - Internal Server Error" message pop-up my window. I thought I'm the only one seeing this but I guess not. Hopefully it'll return to normal as soon as possible.

There was just an issue for a few hours the other day.I find it odd that they never said anything about it ie in there news section or on twitter.No real big deal Hotfile as been very good to me


Ps i love that I`m able to upload to hotfile and it works like 99.99 % of the time

For me it's not tech problems, but more service issues. I can get 300KBps from my internet provider, and most of the internet gets me this speed. But with Hotfile, I max out at 130 KBps for a single file. If I do 3 at a time I get 100KBps per file, but it would still be nice to get my original 300 for a single file. Does your hotfile cut your DL speed in half or less? Is mine the only one that does this?

I tested at my buddy's house and he gets 1,620KBps but when I download from Hotfile, the same thing happens. He gets 600K for a single file download, but 500K for 3 files at the same time.

I assume you have a HF premium account. If so, I wonder if it's your IP slowing you down. Some IPs limit download speed for customers who do a lot of uploading and downloading.

I have similar, my Hotfile speed is quite slow. It doesn't matter as it's usually very reliable, slow but steady.

When I had a RS account that would zoom down like a whirlwind! In my case it's not my IP provider, I just think Hotfile have slow servers that affect certain geographical areas.

That's weird because HF seems to be getting faster and faster for me now. I'm downloading a large file right this minute and it's going at nearly 4000 kB/s, which is the fastest I've ever seen anything download. It's noon where I am now, so maybe that explains it.
