I should soon make a list what I have posted, but here is one of my favorites, Shade Empire, once again:

Thank you for the warm welcome it's good to see that other people on here share common interests.

time for some visual kei (visual style) ... not so much a music genre as a stylistic attitude. all about amazing costumes, amazing hair and androgyny. while visual kei bands include pop and punk bands, the great majority play heavy rock or metal. many of the original wave of visual kei bands (xJapan, luna sea, dir en grey etc) have abandoned the extreme visual style, but it is still very popular throughout japan and asia in general.
do not confuse the emphasis on image for a lack of musical substance

first up.....

versailles - one of my favourite bands... beautiful, powerful symphonic progressive rock at its very best. the orchestra (and sometimes choir as well) is completely integrated into the bands sound, brilliant on big speakers. unfortunately the crappy sound of a utube clip will do them very little justice, but at least its an idea for you.

first clip is their debut single from a few years ago 'revenant choir' :heart:
second clip is vampire from last year's album 'holy grail' (actually one of the weakest tracks on a magnificent album, but still good nonetheless)

Just so I'm clear on the difference between Metal and Hard Rock...Puddle of Mud wouldn't be considered metal, right?

black infinity - from vietnam. have only released one album so far, but a group that shows a lot of promise, this track has a lot of trad/ethno elements, but they also get very black and dark. (they also do a good cover of a gaga track, actually make it listenable)

From those I only know Nightwish and I liked them with Tarja. The only metal band I now listen to is Epica. They're absolutely amazing and Simone is an incredible singer and beautiful woman. Otherwise I listen to dark wave, goth rock and so on.

I knew Epica sounded familiar, I found something from my music files And I don't mind if you post some of your favorite goth rock videos here
