I'm single and closeted. I've tried to leave hint to my parents about my sexuality and they've left hints about how they would never accept a gay son...~X(
However, my parents are great, and I don't want to lose them. I guess I'm just waiting to have a few more good years with them before they might just disown me...but I gotta be happy too, right? I think I'll give it a few years and be on my way. I'm just sad about it - I'm really going to miss my family...
I've had one guy that I had a sort of unofficial relationship with, but it was totally behind closed doors. Neither of us are officially out. After not seeing each other for awhile, he completely forgot we had anything going on and now we're just friends. The good thing is I'm totally over him now, but it hurts to know that I could be just such an expendable fling to someone.
Another problem is that I attract a good amount of the female friends I make, which sucks because breaking their hearts feels just as bad as knowing that guys I like will probably never like me back...
For now, however, I'm comfortable with my situation. I'm still young and have time to enjoy my family before lurking out into the gay wild!
HOWEVER...I don't really want to associate myself to the stereotypical gay scene. It seems to be all about guys just hooking up and never making more of it. I want a keeper!
