Big increase in forum spam

Getting spammed like crazy now its growing exponentially...

I know there is no way to end forum spam...Spammers always find new ways to do their dirty work...:thinking:

I report multiple spam posts each day. Everyone can help by reporting spam with the little triangle button on posts. More people doing that would help a lot. If ever member did the same, it would get rid of 90% of the rubbish and make this forum much better for everyone.

I think mods are doing a pretty good job considering forums are easy targets for spamming. :applause: They have a big job in such a popular forum. :thumbs up:

Yes, there was a glitch yesterday but the problem should be solved now, so I hope you all have ordered your new shoes and Prada outlet stuff by now ...

And again: if you see a spammer, it's enough to report one of his posts, we can find the rest via "show all posts of this member" easily.

I have also been reporting a lot of these weird spam stuff last month and this month as well, at first i thought the reason why the forum is getting flooded with spam was because it was coming from my blog site, since the search engine has index every page and many views are visiting it outside this forum so i temporary removed it from my signature below and the removed the GH homepage link on my blog list there since its required to when linking your blog on this forum, but after doing that the forum is still getting spam ( meaning that its not coming from my blog )

So now after reading this article today on my local online newspaper, i read that there is a big huge massive cyber attack happening right now:worried:

I think this must be the real reason why we are getting lots of users spamming our beautiful:x lovely:heart: forum recently and the past few months, but then again I could be wrong about that. :big hug:

Spams are everywhere >< But 99% spams are done by machines/scripts. So it's easy to block them. I too have the same problem in my blog and website. It's either increasing security or erase comments.

Human spams are mostly scammers. They r the hardest ones to get rid of. Last month, I got rid two African scammers from my Yahoo Messenger. They're pretending to be white men and pretending to love me. I really hate scammers!
