Well the last bomber was just caught and is taken to the hospital.
Supposedly he was wounded once in the leg and one in the neck.

I hope these are the true and only people involved. Something tells me there are more that will not be caught and never will be.

I just wish a prayer for all those injured, and their families!

I got give a shit where you're from or your religion!! You are a person and I repect you!

Thanks
Tom

Wow, that's fast. I just read news at Daily Mail UK 3 hours ago and there hadn't been such news. News is certainly ever changing. Is it religious bombing? Really curious why they bombed people.

This all happened a mile from me. I live right over the river from the action. I was in "lock down" all day, not allowed to drive to work. The sound of helicopters were constant.

These two young men were welcomed into America (by all accounts). The older one came here at 16. Tough age to come here, but he became an MMA fighter, married the daughter of a doctor, had a daughter. The younger brother seemed very settled in, and was a college student.
And yet they did this atrocity. I just don't understand.

It's great that he was caught alive - if he was indeed being directed by some organisation, he just might make it possible to catch those people too. Had he been shot like his brother was I think that would have been harder.

Initially my gut reaction is that this was home-grown terrorism, white extremists or something like that - basically a version of the Spokane Washington attempted Martin Luther King day bombing that worked. Now it's starting to looks like Islamic terrorism with the older brother having gone to Russian recently and apparently being radicalised. Who did he meet over there? Can they be rounded up too?

For the people in Watertown things are winding down now, but for the FBI etc the big work of putting all this together is really only getting started.

The circumstances surrounding these events seem all too familiar to me. Over here in the UK we have a problem with intelligent,well-educated, seemingly law abiding young men being radicalised by muslim hate preachers. I only hope that the US authorities manage to get a grip on this before this trend manages to take hold over there.

The Moslems seem to be ignorant whenever some members of their own faith do bad things like that. They simply keep playing the broken record: Islam is peaceful religion, to the non-Moslems. But they do NOTHING to discipline those who tarnish Islam's name.

You mean they behave exactly like Christians?

Are there any means to deter people who may plan crimes of this nature? The usual answer is the death penalty as the ultimate deterent. What deterent is that to someone who is prepared to risk death themselves for some cause that is, in their own sick mind, worth killing random civilians for. Execution is the probable sentence for Dzhokhar, this will be what he will have been expecting, it may be what he would prefer, it is the quick easy way out. Anything that makes him look the brave martyr in the eyes of other extremists is no deterent at all,. Lust for revenge is a perfectly logical response to so horrible a crime, but it will not reduce the danger of these crimes happening again. The best way to remember this person is not at all as he wastes away in his prison cell.

I went back to work today. I was the only person at my company who lives in the lock down zone. Do they pay me for lock down Friday? Back and fourth all day. One Boston love...or modern business dicks. End of the day... dicks. No pay for me.

My work friend was here from out of town. His in-laws are Greek immigrants in Watertown. He left the office tonight to dig a bullet out of the wall of the old auntie, and spackle it over.
His sister's fiancé is a Boston cop. One of his assignments last week was to guard the newly dead body of the eight year old boy.

I went to the gym tonight. It's right on Arsenal Street, the main street of all the mayhem. it was... normal. Like any evening.

So those are my stories of the day, as this all winds down.
