Emmanuel Ray is one of those rare Asian-British male celebs who isn't (or wasn't) afraid to show off his body. The ex model and dancer seems cool about nude pics of his circulating the internet and justified it on his BBC radio interview recently. South Asian would be correct for Indians, Pakistanis, and other nationalities from the region. Europeans are categorized similarly (Southern/Central/Etc. Europeans) and the term is unlikely to be found offensive.

Additionally? Tamils (an ethnic group from India) are the largest minority group on Sri Lanka, so he very well could be of (partial) Indian heritage. His wikipedia page simply mentions having grown up in poverty in war torn Sri Lanka, so no help there.

Personally, a little to waifish for me- give me Sendhil Ramamurthy any day ; ).

In his interview I believe he says he was born in Sri Lanka, so that would make him Sri Lankan according to Sri Lankan law, unless he has renounced his citizenship.
