Can Anyone Get a Single File to Dowloand from FileServe?

For about a week now I haven't been able to download a single file from FileServe, each and every time I get about 2 or 3 MB and then I get an error saying "the file cannot be read please contact the server administrator". For months it was always reliable for me, now, nada!

Is this just me?

Same here. Got annoyed. I suppose there is something wrong with their server but not our connections!

Yeah, I'm getting it too. Have you guys tried downloading using the fileserve download manager?? I usually use that and get speeds of 150-300 kB/sec or is it kb? or KB? (internet in Australia is super slow)

But recently I've only been getting like 50 kb/sec which is like omg kill me now. I'm not sure if this prevents the file from being stopped.. but it has happened before.

You can also try Firefox - and downloading the file via Internet Download Manager (IE doesn;t let me download the file from fileserve VIA IDM.. if you know what I mean) and that might work.

Yeah, if you don't currently use IDM - I suggest you get it! Because it sort of 'maximises' the download speed. Especially if you're downloading from filesonic, megaupload, megashares etc Like sometimes I get 300 KB - 1 Meg download speeds when downloading files from megaupload via IDM even though I don't have a premium account (and it lets you resume MU downloads too!)

Lets hope it is in their end, and that they get it fixed soon. I was actually planning to cancel my MU subscription and sign up to File Server instead, but no way no how am I moving to them now!

I have just downloaded a 100mb file as a free user with no problems. I was using IDM on firefox. The only thing I hate is the word capture, I have to go thru' several before I can read one properly. If you are a premium member does this still appear?

Nope; if you go premium the word capture disappears. Fileserve seems to work great for me; it's Filesonic that gives me all the grief and I'm a premium member.

1. Hotfile. Worked just fine (fast, reliable) but then they deleted most of the porn. I dropped my premium status. Seems OK now and the wait time is not much of a bother.
2. Fileserve. Initially worked great then slowed to a crawl. I wanted dump Paypal so I dropped that one too. As a free user, it is pretty good. Still slow but reliable.
3. Filesonic. Always very slow and they screwed up my account--no access for me for the last few days of my premium access. I didn't renew.

As a free user on all three I am quite satisfied. The wait time and captcha don't bug me that much and paying seemed to avoid only those two things. Go free and I don't think you will regret it!

i cant even get filesonic to download even with the free option
