Can the Earth live in peace?

The world keeps turning, does that make us closer together? Each day I get up, an the sun is there I go to pee and hopefully poop, but the thing is this… are we closer? I mean: are we as people closer to loving us all?

Can the Earth live in peace?

does us being here help? just us talking? I wonder if we all could just talk and tell what we think..would that make us closer to each other?

I think the belief that there are "too many people" is very dangerous... who has to die then? Brown people? Yellow people? That is not the answer -it's what Hitler and his ilk thought.

Whilst I agree with most of what you say I take issue with your assumption that anyone who proffers the idea that the planet may be overpopulated in respect of its resources, food, energy drain etc is "elitist" and automatically supporting some unspoken planned population reduction....I am sure that most people who have that standpoint would support the alternative solution...improved,more efficient food and energy production, coupled with reduced energy consumption.

I think we wont last.. because we will all turn a blind eye to everything, we will just look at what we have or don't have...its hard to look out for others if you have to think of yourself first one on the reasons we progressed in all things is that those with money wanted us too!!! now its all changed we no longer care!!! even about ourselves..kinda sad lol

I believe as long as there are more than one religion, there will never be peace, which of course means genocide of all other religions.
As long as there is greed and prejudice, there will never be peace.
Peace will be obtained when only one person is left.

The answer is simple...we need more "earths" - seriously! The only way mankind will survive is if we spread out across the galaxy...somewhere, somehow, some essence of humanity would survive in case of disaster - otherwise everything we are, have been, or ever will be - the good, the bad and the ugly - can ALL be f*cked by a worldwide nuclear war or catastrophic environmental disaster. I support Earth* colonization of Mars first and as technology expands - outside the solar system.

* - I say "Earth Colonization" because it can't be just 1 country or, god forbid, 1 CORPORATION, doing this. It has to be a worldwide effort. Finding a way for humankind to escape the bounds of earth might also be the catalyst for getting along better too! (and I managed not to mention poop ANYWHERE in this post;-)

They are the guardians of the earth and the human race.....if left alone...we would have already blown ourselves up many times over...but each time it has been needed....the Q intervenes....we just don't know it. They allow us as much freedom as possible, but like the children we are...they must pull us back when threaten to destroy ourselves...

C'mon Pump! The USSR was economic collapse from an unsustainable politicial system that impinged on human rights and abhorred free enterprise. Pure capitalism can also be an unwieldy monster if left unrestrained...(See the USA circa 2008:worried I'm saying there is a happy medium for this planet if we can find it AND a way not to blow ourselves up in the meantime. It's going to take a lot of work, understanding, and the realization that we are a WORLD of people - not just a single country or ideology...and THAT's when we can contribute to something more that the universe might be interested in! (instead of being babysat by a "superior" race)

Personally I don't think it is possible to like everybody, I sure as hell don't. I think the key to peace is for everybody to simple stand one another. Just as long as we aren't killing each other, and simply agree to coexist, the world will be at peace.
