The next point in favor is that again many doctors say circision does prevent HIV/AIDS and maybe us in the Gay community should think about this as we have been vilified for decades the we caused AIDS to spread! Also, I am sure that everyone will agree that nothing is more import that one's health!
Hold on a second there! Lets keep things factual please!
No a single doctor says it PREVENTS HIV, SOME doctors say it REDUCES the chances of infection somewhat. That's it. Condoms do that too. In fact, they do that a LOT better than slicing off bits of babies willies!
The last point that I would like to make is that during World War II Jews and Homosexuals were sent Concentration Camps and we all know the rest. The test for being a Jew was by making him expose his penis! My point is that I find it strange that the Court Ruling is in Germany. The case was because a little Muslim boy had complications after circision. Any surgery can result in in complications. Neil Armstrong died from complications after a heart by pass. So do we stop all surgery and let people die from burst appendixes or cancer? So was the count ruling basic on fact or on Antisemitism and Islamaphobia?
Neil Armstrong would have died without the surgery too. That is NOT the case with ritual circision. It is a medically unnecessary surgery, and like you said, ALL surgeries have risks! Clearly, if you apply logic, the answer is very simple, don't carry out needless surgeries on babies!
So, who should choose whether to circise or not? I think the parents of the little baby boy because the the pain afterwards would be huge.
If circision is supposed to be done as some sort of offering to God, arguing that it should be easy and done before your are old enough to understand makes zero sense to me. What does that prove? How is that a sacrifice for your faith?
Surely the rights of the child not to be mutilated come first?
