Crappy upload speed

I don't get it. I'm supposed to have 400 upload speed and get that consistantly on all speed tests. Whenever I actually try to do an upload to RS or Gayforit I get a speed of 52. Also, whenever uploading my download speed is highly degraded. I usually get 6000 dl but if I'm uploading this goes down to under 50.

As an aside, I tried a 1 month premium membership with Megarotic. Interestingly, they must have some programming built in to detect the crc you are uploading. I have in some instances uploaded 300MB files in 10 seconds. Definitely not the case with RS. I'm tempted to start using Megarotic exclusively since they allow larger uploads and I've yet to reach a limit on downloads in free mode.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

I can't help much on the upload speed, as a comparison I thought mine was crap at between 400 to 550 Kb/s. That's uploading to MediaFire with an internet connection speed of 2.1 to 2.4 Mbps. In reality this means approx. 45min to 75 mins. to upload a 100mb file.

I can confirm the drop in the download speed - a 100mb file that would take say 8 minutes to download will take between 2 to 3 hours if I'm uploading at the same time.

Hope this is of some help, if only to confirm your not suffering alone.

We will have to keep checking this thread for further thoughts and assistance.
