This topic is pretty self-explanatory. What movie have you seen lately (or even in the past) that left you thinking, "why in the world did I decide to watch this piece of sh...." LOL

Off the top of my mind, I would choose, "The Haunting of Molly Hartley". The premise seemed interesting enough: a young girl begins to hear voices, experience hallucinations and overall bouts of crazy after an attack on her life... by her own mother.

I thought it was decent... for the first 30 minutes. But as it rolled on, I realized it just just another vehicle for the top teen actors of the moment (Chace Crawford of "Gossip Girl" has a lead and two of the female actors from the "90210" remake are in the movie as well)... and it all went downhill from there.

The ending was the worse and left even more questions unanswered from the movie's beginning. Was she possessed by the Devil? Were they witches? It was just dumb and I hope no one suffers through this movie! LOL

I will be saying this when several of these remake movies come out in the future. Why ruin classics like RHPS (rumored to be in the works), Adventures In Babysitting, Footloose, etc. These movies are considered classics for a reason DON'T TOUCH THEM!

I actually heard about the "Adventures In Babysitting" remake. I was pissed as hell considering Disney was at the helm (which means the classic line, "Don't fuck with the babysitter" would never see the light of day). However, I've heard they've decided to make it a sequel of sorts. Same characters, different actors.

Raven-Symone would be Chris Parker... blah. Give me the original anyday!

Bum (in the phone booth): "Get outta mah house!"
Brenda (kicks his stuff out; lncluding the slippers): "You just moved!"

LMAO They really should leave that one alone.

Most re-makes are rubbish - and that includes all the American re-makes of European movies.

I agree with Ice Queen about Blair Witch!! At the end I just thought "is that it?" !

The only movie I nearly walked out of was "Troy" . I know a lot liked it but to me this really was over-hyped crap. It went on an hour after I thought it was about to finish. The friend I went with was very unimpressed too.

I'm used to long, and to some, very boring European cinema , Wim Wenders original "Himmel Uber Berlin" (translated wrongly as "Wings of Desire" ) I thought was terrific, yet people walked out during the performance I saw! I've never dared to watch the American re-make !! :p

For me it's usually the movies like Disaster Movie, Scary Movie etc. They're just always so horrible to watch but i find myself going to see them simply because there's nothing else on

Quarantine. I was really stoked for this, and it was so dull and boring. Disappointed.

Another extreme disappointment comes to mind - the spin off movie from the BBC tv series "League of Gentlemen". If you've never seen the series it's extremely dark and twisted humour, to me it was the best thing produced since Monty Python as far as comedy goes, but the movie version just didn't work for me.

Sometimes things are best left as they are and on the small screen rather than elongate them into a big movie. We had a lot of British tv movie spin-offs back in the 70s and they were mostly terrible.

Quite right Xman .... it was awful and I'm a huge fan of the show. But for a sheer turgid, toe-curling boreding yawwn-fest I give you (please..take it!)

The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford

A steaming pile of poo of a movie...and over two hours of my life I won't get
back

I was in two minds about that one, Slim. No, it's not something I'd want to go through again, but it wasn't too bad compared to many others. I'm used to talky movies, having seen a lot of European cinema over the years.

I'm almost agreeing with you, but not quite.

Well, I leant my copy to a friend sometime last year. I don't think he's watched it yet still, but I don't want it back LOL

It was dull, but I found it interesting to some extent. Give me John Wayne or Clint Eastwood anyday :p

Queen Of The Damned, while not completely unbearable it was no comparison to Interview With A Vampire. It looked like a rock video made by MTV, compared to the lush cinematography of Interview, the make-up and effect were shit (they all looked like strung-out junkies) compared to the subtle nuances by the Master Stan Winston, and it completely lacked the chemistry between characters of Interview (Pitt's natural disdain for Cruise really worked well in the film) All in all, a pretty piss poor follow up to the original...

OOh!! I've got one!! I love all pixar movies and all disney and animated movies.. But just recently have I been anticipating and eager to watch a movie that just came out.. can you guess what it was? UP!! Hearing the buzz and the good word about the movie I knew I was bound to be happy after viewing it but to my disappointment.. I personally felt that it wasn't all that spectacular and was really sad .. maybe I had high expectations because all pixar movies are very good but.. I just felt that it wasn't up to par <\3

Another Disappointing Movie for me is "Shutter" a thai horror flick. The Story is "JUST" creepy, just enough to get you goosebumps but isnt enough to give you nightmares. The whole story revolves about the guy trying to find the answers of what the images in his photos are. And the whole story is like that until it's ending, where before the end of the film it shows the Ghost's true appearance (the only appearance) . and then it ends and you can go like "is that it?"

Uhm.. WHAA?~?~? OMG!~!! My brother somehow has this movie and it scared the bejesus out of me!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WERE DISAPPOINTED WHEN YOU SAW THIS?! I saw it with family and I screamed and literally was on the edge of my seat when I watched it!! FANTASTIC MOVIE!! :O

I've heard "UP" was pretty rough early for an animated movie. I thought X-Files 2 was a real bomb too...probably killed the franchise:worried:
