We have the 2nd largest (soon to be the largest) sewage works in Europe. The only bigger one is in Paris I think, or somewhere in France anyway.
I know it sounds disgusting, but it's actually quite fascinating , and having been round it I found it amazing. The purification process is incredible, the end result is pure clean water, and I was totally amazed to be confronted by this block of concrete that looked and felt like concrete but was quite literally made from....you know what
Google Beckton sewage treatment works - it's in London and is the size of a small town!!
Do you realise what they can do with shit these days?? I know this for fact because I've seen it , after incineration they actually make concrete blocks out of it !!
So next time someone uses the expression "shitting bricks" well you can say that's literally true lol
What! That aint bad! Now had it been fresh it would be and entirely different matter.
Even though I as a European has been to USA many times I only discovered Jerky Beef last time. I kind of liked it ... a better snack than fatty chips or sweets IMO. It was a novelty for me ...
