I think you don't mean a short holiday trip, but a hallucinating trip. I never had that experience. But the residents of a little town in Austria seem to feel that their world isn't the real and save world as it used to be until WWII, when American soldiers got stationed in their town. Suddenly they became a subject of laughter and mockery. They are fed up now and want to change the name of their town into FUGGING.
