Does Size Matter ?

Before I begin this discussion, let me assure you this has nothing to do with penis size. I've finally grown-up and realized that all of that is cirstantial. It doesn't make a bit of difference to me how large your penis is. What matters to me is that you are passionate and compassionate towards others. But here's the thing: I'm thin, five feet six, and quite extroverted. Because of this, gay men assume I'm submissive or a total bottom. It doesn't matter how much bravado I display, they somehow seem to reach this conclusion. Now I'm not completely offended by this; I'm just wondering where is the logic in all of this? Is it my small frame?

Part of it probably stems from general sex stereotypes in the heterosexual world. Women are penetrated (meaning they are the 'bottoms'), women are normally smaller/shorter than men. So that makes its way into our world, plus the fact that pornography usually strongly reinforces this--the bigger, taller guy is usually the top. Most short porn stars (or at least the shorter of the two in a given scene) are bottoms. How often do you see a 5 ft 6 man fucking a 6 ft 4 man in gay porn? Pretty rarely. Art imitates life, which then imitates art, with stereotypical images getting constant reinforcement as we go through our lives. Most people are unwilling to step outside of the box that they have let others put them into.
