Now that Rapidshare has self-destructed, there doesn't seem to be any dominant download service. I just spent a few minutes making a list of 9 different services services used by posters on this site. There are more than 9 but 9 is enough for me to make my point. To subscribe to all of them for a year would cost almost $500. There is no way I'm going to spend that kind of money so I am resigned to the annoyance of dealing with the long wait times between downloads.
What galls me is that Rapidshare slit its own throat just after I renewed for a year. AND my anti-virus program now gives a red warning that downloading from them could mean getting unwanted adware, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions about a solution to this program?
