English Lads star Kev Adamson dead

Sad news from the UK, where it has just recently been revealed (but not yet officially announced) that Kev Adamson - co-producer and regular model for English Lads - has died.

No details have been released, but it was mentioned on both the English Lads discussion forum and in Mason's Diary on rival UK site Blake Mason: "there's some sad news to be shared so here goes... I want to express my sincere condolences to Nick (who runs another British site) whose co-producer and model (Kev Adamson) died the other week. While it's not appropriate for me to go in to the details of his death, Kev's warm personality will live on in the films he's made over the last 5 years and I wish him peace in heaven. Kev was loved by many of the models that worked both here at BM and over there and he will be sorely missed".

how on earth did this happen? I checked blake mason's diary by accident and read the news, felt sick to my stomach. He was so young

Yeah, I always loved Kev, too! If this story really IS true then it's such sad news to hear. I have nothing to base this on whatsoever, but the first thought that came to my mind when the cause of death was kept so mysterious was that it might have been a suicide. No matter what the cause, Kev was WAY too young to be taken away so soon.

What surprises me is how difficult it is to find any further information confirming this. That Blake Mason blog post seems to be the ONLY source on the web for this. Kev was well-enough known within the porn industry to warrant more coverage than that, I'd think, but I also can't imagine any reason why the Blake Mason blog would say something like that if it weren't true. To confuse things even more, some of the more recent updates from EL (including the one from 29 October 2010) still include Kev in them. Of course any clips being released now could have been filmed a long time ago, but it sure seems odd to me that there wouldn't have been more news about this somewhere in the English gay press...?

I havent seen any updates from EL which included (the late) him, and somehow my heart just told me not to do so...
