etiquette?

I have a question on gay etiquette.

There's this gay guy at this conference in Texas. I know he has a partner back in his home state-Illinois. However, upon perusing those "apps," I happen to glance up his profile. Can I assume that he's in an "open relationship?"

Or should I just take a step back and not reach to this guy on those apps?

You can assume that the relationship is open as far as he is concerned. Whether hubby in Illinois is in agreement is an open question.

If you are looking for a boyfriend, then pass. He's taken.

If you just want a roll in the sheets, then he is available. For me, his boyfriend is his problem, not mine. But you may feel differently. If so, ask him for a drink or coffee and find out first if the relationship is really officially open. Then decide what to do.
