Dear GayHeaven users,
We are happy to announce that we have successfully upgraded our forum to a new more reliable and overall better platform called XenForo.
Any feedback is welcome and we hope you get to enjoy this new platform for years and years to come and, as always, happy posting!
For once I like the UK entry best, for years it's been terrible, Germany on now and it's one of those songs that just bores me to death. Last year's was one of my faves and nearly voted for them.
Like most I don't take this competition too seriously abut would have liked to watch. Unfortunately my receiver isn't working & watching a stream via internet is almost impossible with my internet connection. :/
Well the winner was worthy, but hell, the voting patterns were so predictable as usual, and we do have a fabulous cynical commentator here who had me in hysterics saying exactly what I was thinking
It's a complete load of rubbish now - the Russian grannies getting so high and Engleburt, a great singer, getting 2nd to bottom ?
The winner has already been a hit record across some countries anyway!
It's always a laugh though "Oh thank you for such a beautiful show, and here are the votes" )
Our presentators (in France) were really boring this year and quite consensual.
We lost, again, that's not really a surprise but i didn't really like our song, so i don't really care. (but i usually never really like our contestant:rofl.
Sweden had a good song but wasn't my favorite, i really liked Germany or Iceland.
I'm glad she didn't beat the Eurovision record points devil cause i still love the cute all time winner from Norway, Alexander Rybak:heart:.
2009 : maybe the best Eurovision year... This guy made me want to play violin...and live in Norway.
The Eurovision Song Contest was a nice idea once. Like so many nice ideas, this one has become a monster.
When you get to the point where citizens of a country have their phone calls monitored, people arrested, harassed and allegedly even tortured for voting in a way the government didn't want them to (this actually happened in Azerbaijan, apparently), then I say it's time to stop. I think they should drop the whole contest aspect of it, just invite all the eligible countries to send their songs and performers and make it an entertainment event.
