but this is something you should only do, if you really know how to handle that tool and if you have a basic understanding of file formats and the different compressions they use. You will probably have to adjust several parameters. But if you decide them by pure change, you might ruin your movies without noticing it. And not every file format is equally siutable for porn. Avi-Files f.e. are very bad with smooth movements and so they create little "cuts". It works for tv shows and is disturbing if it comes to porn, where the visual is far more important.
Several years ago I have used a free-converter "Free Mp3 wma converter" for the conversion and splitting of audio files from wav to flac. And after several months I noticed that the program had produced a loud noise at the end of each file. Luckily I still had the original cds.
So I suggest to keep the original files for quite some time, so you can repeat the process if you notice problems (like interlacing f.e.) later.
