Fileserve and others not working

Don't know if anyone else is having problems downloading with Fileserve and Filesonic (where I have pay-premium accounts but I guessing it is the same for free). Any time I try to download a post I get a message saying I need to have been the original poster. If I owned the file why would I be downloading it? Is this some new crackdown or tactic?
This is the sort of message you get:
"FileServe can only be used to download and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.
If this file belongs to you, please login to download it directly from your file manager."
This happened with Rapidshare a year or so ago (so I changed); is it happening again?
Any info appreciated.
