Fileserve is blocking whole IP ranges now where they only assuming they were used for infringements.
GH staff should consider to remove this service from the allowed list of filehosts.

thanks :)

Thank you Jamoo for this information

DBOL777 reported this earlier this morning on the staff forum and we are currently awaiting input from the staff regarding this issue, but it does appear that Fileserve will have to be put on the list of banned hosts if not available to all of our members.

The fileserve-bastards are deleting accounts without deleting the 1.000 or what soever uploaded files trying downloaders to buy a premium-account for faster download.

The fileserve-owners are bastards !

You are surprised that people who make a living from stealing other people's work might also steal your work? Really?

Sorry have you heard the expression "Once bitten, twice shy"?
After the last fiasco of RickyFS running out, not paying out on his affiliate program, why would anyone trust Fileserve again?

I agree totally with you and I'm sure Fileserve used the break to finally track even more detailed

In Germany we say: A fish starts to smell from the head

and I think one should be really careful instead of being happy.
Ok, the links are maybe back but this all could be a trap

Rapidshare basically ended downloads for free users yesterday. Files only download to a point, then stop, and start over again and again, but never complete. Depositfiles and Sendspace haven't done anything yet, but I think this method of file sharing is almost over.

please try not to ban fileserve

ul.to and similar services are forbidden to use here because its blocked in the US
Fileserve is blocking a lot members who contributed with that service, including me so its only fair to remove it.

Or they had or are having technical issues surely?

Why assume that buggy behaviour is policy rather than technical gremlins?

This is a notice I got via Jdownloader late yesterday evening, it may answer a few of your questions.

Don't forget they are a business and I think that you will see a lot of filehosts doing away with free plans, especially if their servers get overloaded.

I might add even as a free user I was getting a faster speed then stated. So maybe it will be over certain times.
Also I have been clearing up the last pages of the clips section, you will see that the most surviving posts from 3/4 years ago are Rapidshare.

This makes a lot of sense - all those MU and FileSonic users have to go somewhere, so all the other services must be being swamped. Add to that the fact that no one wants to buy a membership to anything at the moment for fear of it all going belly-up, so just think of how many free users are draining those over-stretched resources!

One particularly huge former MU user, who also used Filesonic and Fileserve, is now only using Rapidshare and Megashares. Megashares always says now that they have no free slots open, and I couldn't even download a 175mb(22 minute) file from Rapidshare. I gave up on attempting 350 mb (42 min) files there, and one hour shows are a thing of the past. Three days ago, I was downloading these all night long. Today, I was only successful with Depositfiles, Sendspace and Mediafire. I attempted Oron twice but with no result.

Yes, Rapidshare often does not not even start to download, then when it does it is slow and after a time it stops. This method of file sharing is getting difficult.

It is so strange to see RS changing their behaviour towards free users throughout all the Years... But still, I guess they will go back to higher Speed As Soon / if there will Be more OCHs again.

RapidShare has become really slow for free users and frequently "breaks down", but a number of other free servers still operating are also doing the same. Like Sezuan, I hope new servers will spring up and greater competition will improve the offer. I wouldn't buy another RS account after the last time, with all the losses connected with its immature game of rapids instead of pay accounts. Did it think we were all kids playing videogames?
