Filesonic total fail - any ideas?

Every, read EVERY, file I attempt to DL gets this in the URL bar after trying to start:

http://filesonic.com/error?bad_stream=0&bad_ip=0&bad_pass=0

Any idea how to avoid that?

All they had to do was add a few good fast and reliable servers and just change the name from sharingmatrix to filesonic. Now I regret having taken a 3-month account but then I guess we have to pay for our stupidity and that of a few others also. I never heard anyone changing a perfectly good service to a so-called best service where NOTHING works and the customers have to make themselves gunia-pigs for weeks on end. And the worst part is that they dont even reply to feedback.

I have now changed over to fileserve and its almost as good as the old sharingmatrix.

Since I was pretty happy with sharingmatrix, I am willing to give the benefit of doubt to the filesonic team and I will get back to filesonic only when they reach the level of performance of sharingmatrix.

( This is MY remark based on my experience, I am sure many will have worse experience with filesonic and equally, many will have much better experience)

Well it seems strange. Initially I was trapped in the "never able to DL because they thought I was already DLing" mode. That could go on for days, and all hours of the day and night.

That seemed to clear up almost at the end of the original name period. Now I always get the issue above. URLs from several different places, and from different threads here. I have registered with them too - as a free user.

Now I just search for the same files elsewhere. It is a total and complete bust for me since the name change.

Well it might be a regional and/or browser issue... I am in UK and use Internel Explorer 8 and can currently access and d/load at about 200kb/sec.. equating to about 11 minutes for a 150mb file, but for a while last week the d/load time would have been over 3 hours!

Given that it gets all the way to actually trying to DL the file, only to say that it doesn't exist, I think browser and location are not the issue. But one never knows.

yeah, buy a premium acount in fileserve so you can download my uploads :cheers: LoL

Filesonic isn't that much prepared for the users who'll be using Their service. Their server is slow, and everything just wasn't good.
