I'm sorry..he's cute..but I think they could have picked someone a lot better ..because for some reason, from the comic books that I've read as a kid, Spiderman was a lot muscular than this guy and the original guy. As a matter of fact, I think Taylor Lautner would have made a good Spiderman..just my opinion.

I disagree. Lautner may be Spider-Man - but he's not a Peter Parker, he looks too much like a jock and his acting is just not there yet.
Every actor they cast has to be Peter Parker as well as Spider-Man. Actually it's even more important to be a believable Peter Parker since Spider-Man is in mask and costume most of the time (and half of those scenes are computer-generated anyway). That's why Andrew Garfield is a GREAT choice for the Spider-Man reboot in my opinion.

The costume design looks interesting....however I still can't believe Sony is rebooting this. Tobey will always be Spider Man in my mind.

Columbia Pictures announced today that the title of the next Spider-Man film will be The Amazing Spider-Man. The studio simultaneously released a photo of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man (above), the first shot of Garfield in the famous full suit and mask. The film, which is now in production and is being shot entirely in 3D, will be released on July 3, 2012. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Yeah he's adorable and he fits my idea of spiderman much better than the old(really he was too old already to be a young spiderman) Tobey, Peter Parker was originally a frail nerd boy, even if his muscles got some more definition due to the spider thing, he wasnt terribly muscular either(get some of the comics from the 60's) he became more and more muscular as the time and artists changed. Would be somewhat hard to hide going from skinny to buff no matter what kind of clothes he used... specially from a day to another.
