So I just started watching "Game of Thrones". Yes, I know I'm a little late. I'm only on Season 1; Episode 8, so don't spoil anything for me besides what I already know.
First off, just a few funny things. One of my favorite TV Shows is "Still Standing". It's a great comedy staring Mark Addy, who was King Robert Baratheon for the first eight episodes. It was hard not to still see him as Bill Miller, just as a King this time. Then there is Jason Momoa who is going to star in the new "Aquaman" movie that is coming out. It is definitely hard not to see him fucking his wife from "Game of Thrones" while watching an "Aquaman" trailer.
But getting back to the subject of "Game of Thrones": Does anyone else seem to think that this series is hypocritical of society because it was such a huge success of a series? Tumblr just turned off porn because "people don't want to see that", yet so far there is ton on nudity on GoT and I'm only eight in. There have even been a lot of references towards child brothels, even as the news is all a fire about the Catholic church.
To me it seems hypocritical since it seems like society denounces these things in every day life, but then seems to be entertained by the ideas in television and movies. I'm still going to watch the rest of the series for sure, but let's just say I was a little amazed at the content so far.
