Gay porn site B!@k3 M@s0n has removed videos featuring Daryll Rowe, the Scottish man who was in April sentenced to life imprisonment for deliberately infecting five sexual partners with HIV.

The Scottish hairdresser appeared in films for the studio in 2014 and 2015, and went by the name Benjamin York.

Rowe’s B!@k3 M@s0n bio reportedly read: ‘This buff Scottish guy is so hot we could film him for days and never get bored.’

During his trial, it also emerged that Rowe had tried to infect five more men by tampering with condoms after they declined to have bareback sex with him.

Rowe, who discovered he was HIV positive in 2015, must now spend a minimum of 10 years in prison.

He reportedly sent goading messages to his victims. One text read: ‘Maybe you have the fever cos I came inside you and I have HIV, lol. Whoops!’

One of Rowe’s victims was quoted by The Scottish Sun as saying: ‘It’s pretty disgusting that sites are still trying to make money from them.’

The unnamed person furthermore added: ‘They should be taken down as a courtesy to people like me.’

He also said: ‘He told me he wanted to do more porn and needed a partner to appear with.

‘I needed the money, so said yes. Rowe claimed he was clean so we didn’t use condoms.’

What he did was atrocious but the guys who agreed to have unprotected sex with a man who has sex for money in porn movies should own their own responsibility for any contagious disease they may have gotten. They knew the risk and they took it anyway. Makes me wonder how many other men they've had bareback sex with "because he said he was negative". Own you our guilt. Letting your lust get the best of you makes you responsible for your own health.

Is it? A for-profit porn site exists to make money from porn. That is it's only function, it has no reason to consider the public interest. Mr Unnamed wants the criminal's videos to taken down as a courtesy. Courtesy! If you want courtesy you need to choose a different industry to work in.
What the studio does owe it's performers is a safe working environment so they do have a responsibllity to take reasonable steps to protect their workers. Define reasonable. I would say reasonable includes checking that the tools for the job, in this case condoms, had not been damaged. Easier said than done, but say you work in a garage, if the airline has been sabotaged and you lose an eye, you have a claim against the garage.
The real reason for taking down the videos is that if they show a crime, intentional infection, in the process of being commited, the studio owners could be said to be profiting from the proceeds of crime, which could land them a little time in jail, though nowhere near as long as Mr Rowe.
Ten years might not sound that long, it is when your cellmates know who you are and what you've done.
