There are two absolutely wonderful series you can get on Amazon or Goodreads that are going to be classics eventually. The Cambridge Fellows Mysteries by Charlie Cochrane follows Cambridge University (England) profs Jonty Stewart and Orlando Coppersmith from the late 1900s through the coming of World War II.

This is the perfect series (19 novellas) for the first gay themed Masterpiece Theatre production--not a lot of steamy sex but absolute enchantment, high mystery adventures, and incredible love stories between two of the most ividly drawn characters you will ever meet.
