GH has over 100,000 members. Wow!

Gh has 108,004 members.

That's a pretty big forum and it's seems we get new registrations every day.

What accounts for the GH success story? Any ideas?

AS Liz Taylor would say, GH is a 'stayer'.

The amount of engagement in the community areas of the forum is second to none. No other gay porn forum comes close that I know of.

2 days later we now have 108,048 members in total including 44 GH noobs. 22 for each day. If we treat that as an average then 22 X 365 = 8,030 in just one year. This week alone will bring in about 150 new members.

Pretty amazing to still be achieving that after all these years.

Yes it is very very impressive that

a) GH is still here after 10 years.... and

b) We are still reaching out to newbies

but joining is one thing - sticking around and contributing is another. On a day-to-day basis I think we typically have between 200 and maybe 500 members max. logging on (ignore the "Most users ever online was 3,788" detailed at the bottom of the home page as this number is almost certainly due to a DOS attack). Looking at the members list and sorting on number of posts it seems that over 67,000 who joined have never posted and in terms of the staff workload to monitor/moderate them it might be just as well.
