They are looking for the hottest German in the country.

Why do you think that? Is jury or people humiliating contenders?

Maybe because of jealousy

It's not like a "Germany's Next Topmodel"-contest, it's just what the title says - "Are you hot?" A bunch of girls and guys pose in front of a jury and they give them points for "face", "body" and "personality" (after seeing them for five seconds). In the end, only one boy and one girl remain and they win - nothing, except for the title of being the hottest one on that episode. And in the jury aren't even modelling experts or anything, they are just c-list celebrities saying what they think is hot. It's a total farce and embarrassing to watch.
