Me neither, I have American next door neighbours and there are quite a few Americans around the area I know. Apart from my internet friends and friends I have made visiting the USA.

Yes it is always the fourth Thursday in November. Why have I put it up today, because when you stay up past midnight and you look at the time saying 25th Wednesday, it doesn't mean when you get up it's going to be 26th Thursday:?
of course my excuse is that any Americans will be too busy tomorrow to notice a greeting

Yeah, happy Thanksgiving Day, this year should be interesting...

My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a masectomy that she still hasn't recovered from, her daughter found out she has lung cancer a week later, her husband fell off the roof and broke his back and pelvis, my cousin fell off a ladder and broke his arm in 4 places, and I lost my job last week. I can't wait for that moment when we go around the table saying what we're thankful for...

No it's not that. It's just the over commercialism of the whole thing, which started here in the UK about the beginning of October!

actually, for me its just uncomfortable around holidays, I'm in my 40s now and never been married and no kids!! so getting around the family and all there own family's is kind strange now, i just feel uncomfortable it wasn't a prob when i was younger, but now it seems to get me down, so id just rather skip the whole thing now
