I've put in, maybe 75 hours into the game and I haven't touched the main storyline. just wondering if anyone else has come close or maybe even successfully beaten the main game? or thinks they have done and seen all there is to do and see....

i know of a great deal of people that have indeed 'beaten' the game. however, since skyrim has so many odds and ends, there is no real true ending to it. there are multiple 'main' storylines to follow, and none are really quite the same. its more about a free environment than any thing else

This. You can't really "beat" Skyrim. First, it tries to beat you, after that you can only beat all the fun out of it.

Been playing for a while now. Starting to feel like a part of life, wake up, some skyrim. Before bed, yet more skyrim. Not sure I want it to end... yet anyway :p

Side quest has me so busy to be honest, that the main quest feels like days away from completing it. So easy to just walk to the next cave, then chase a deer. Before I know it im running and not even sure why I started walking.

I tried but I'm way too spacy for such an open game. I keep getting myself killed. I died within the first 20 minutes just cuz i got bored and killed a chicken in the first town...think i'm gonna switch gears to Arkham City

Yeah, there's so much crap to do in a Bethesda game that I'm not even sure I'd want to "beat" one. o.o

If you stick to the main quest, it's actually over pretty quickly
I'm playing it for the second time now, and now I'm gonna do more side-quests ..

I've put 80 hours, and I think I've done maybe 3 main quests.....I am having just too much fun being in that world and seeing all there is to see. I am starting to get a bit irritated by all of those dragons that keep spawning....such a hassle

I've avoided the main quests for the main part and have put in over 270 hours and am sitting on level 48. I do a lot of wandering and small miscellaneous quest. BTW I got married to a dude yesterday, if only it was the real world, he owned a pub ; )
