Help for Haiti

Hey buddies - I know it's half a world away or more for a lot of you guys but the situation is really, REALLY bad news down there....I'm sure you've seen it. At GH here - we all have fun interacting with each other even if we're halfway across the globe - and just the fact we can do it makes us some of the luckiest people on Planet Earth. The people of Haiti are not...nor ever have been among the "luckiest" people on Earth and now the very little they ever had has been crushed into dust by this horrible disaster. No human being on our planet should be forced to endure this but working together we can at least try to help....anything is helpful!

Thank you Garth - yes, the list is extremely useful. I will be using it to make my own small donation. As you say, Haiti is the poorest of all the Carribean islands, and any small donation will be used to relieve a disaster that we can only begin to comprehend from the pictures we have seen. My own favourite is MSN (Medicine without borders in English).....

Thanks so much Garth for the heads up. Its truly devasting for an already tortured and impoverished people. The scenes are brutal and heartbreaking. It only takes a small amount from everyone to make a difference. I would urge everyone to take a moment and send a few dollars...thats all it takes. My heart goes out to all our haitian brothers and sisters.

And thanks for that reminder Italy..its so true and very disheartening.

I actually had a scam email through the very same day it happened related to the Haiti relief fund. Needless to say I reported it and sent a rather lengthy 4 letter word filled email back, not that I expect they'll read it.

Once I have more than 2 pennies to rub together (AKA Wednesday) I'll definitely be making my donation towards this. It's certainly not the most widespread disaster ever, but is quite possibly the most tragic as the people of this country have never had a chance to get their feet underneath them before another disaster hits them.
