So my AVG anti-virus has detected the Hiloti trojan on my laptop. I have run several scans with AVG & Malawarebytes and Ashampoo Optimiser that is pretty good with registry cleaning but it is still showing up on AVG, but not on every scan - it will be there, then all is clean, then a later scan finds it again.
It's a bit odd because as far as I can tell I have visited no sites that I don't usually visit - maybe AVG has it wrong and it's a "false-positive" .
Just the same as the Small FHT Trojan that AVG detected earlier this year it's saying its in svchost.exe
So far I haven't noticed any changes in performance of the laptop, no huge CPU useage, no odd pop-ups or anything, so it could be AVG being a bit oversensitive..... any thoughts or comments?
If it is for real is there any free software to get rid of it, or might it mean a factory reset?
