Hotfile Premium download issues

If anyone else has a Premium account can you please verify this. This is occuring on multiple files but not all. The fix is logging out of Hotfile and dealing with the regular user delays then the file downloads.

No problem for me. I get temporary blips where it won't connect to the file but just needs re-clicking a couple of times, otherwise I find them very stable & reliable.

Still doing the same thing for me but not sure what the fix is since it's good for you guys when logged in as Premium. Other files are fine.

Update- did figure out it's only AVI files, they work for premium acct if I just do a right click/save target as instead of the normal hotlinking where you just click on the file and it automatically launches a save window.

I have the same problem you do. I have a premium account, and when I click on the link you gave, I also get garbage. This happens to me often, and I only found the same 'work around' that you mention (i.e. logging out of premium and downloading as basic user).

I wonder why this is only us? It is pretty annoying!

Hi Nomad, when signed into your premium account try right clicking on these problem links and doing a Save Target As. That worked on the ones like I posted were giving me weird code results.

BTW, this seems to be related to the way Hotfile handles Internet Explorer (used IE 8). Tried these problem links with Firefox and they work fine just left clicking on them launches the save file box when premium account signed-in.

I did contact Hotfile about this, so maybe it will be a fix later on. I'm not sure if I wasn't looking in the right place at their site but could not find a contact or help link and nothing in their FAQs. Google ended up locating the contact us link for them.
