Hotfile - why?

There are captchas, but realy rarely. Other hosters are bothering me realy more then on Hotfiles.

I must say I still prefer rapidshare, but nobody's using it anymore... cheaper and faster though, just a shame; but I prefer hotfile to oron of fileserve, anyway

I have no problems with Hotfile:heart:... as a free user it d/loads at reasonable speeds and allows multiple d/loads too... as does the excellent MediaFire and I have no problem with MegaUpload either.

Whereas those annoying bastards at Oron won't let me d/load as "You have exceeded the limit of 5000mb over the 3 day period..." but I've been getting this message for 10 days now :angry:...but then when I could d/load from them it was with a pathetic 8 to 11 hr wait between d/loads~X(.

And currently for the last 2 weeks shitty Filesonic just tells me I cannot d/load because I am already d/loading a file ... when I'm not~X(

And Fileserve won't let me d/load 'cos " your IP address has inputted an incorrect captcha code, please try later".. but I've been getting this message for over a week now ~X(.. and I didn't input a wrong captcha code the last time anyway:angry:

I have cleared out my cache/browser history/cookies etc and tried several proxy sites trying to get around these problems but nothing works.X_X

And all of the above made doubly annoying as I have a RapidPro/Vip account... but hardly anyone uploads with Rapidshare these days ~X(~X(

Well, you should know that most proxy sites re-transmit your originating IP address, if the target site queries for it --- which most download sites do for a bit of control and self-protection. Only some of the expensive pay-per-use proxies will completely block your IP and impose a dummy one each time you log in to use their proxy server. That's why clearing the cache and cookies makes no difference.

Some internet ISPs allow you to renew your connection and change IP addresses on a regular basis. Inquire if this is so for you, and do it. The change of IP should help.

Hotifile

I love hotfile, it's quick and not expensive.

I have been satisfied with Hotfile. Mostly because it has always been reliable. The speed has been ok for me, but I load links into a download manager and got to bed so I guess it doesn't matter that much. Reliability is more critical. Rapidshare was always reliable. Filesonic is much better than they used to be and Fileserve is ok. It's just no fun to wake up to a bunch of errors in your DL mgr. Oron is the slowest for me and I have a premium account. I generally get premium accounts for whatever hosting sites are the most popular at the time. It always changes.

Like Hotfile as well as the waiting time between downloads is acceptable.
