I installed Hotspot Shield yesterday to get around the blocks imposed by my ISP on some fileshare services - mostly Fileserve but others too.

I don't download a massive amount and upload hardly anything beyond pictures because my speed is too low. That was until I installed HSS. In two days, yesterday and today, I have somehow uploaded almost 2.2GB.

Can anyone tell me what Hotshield is doing? What is it uploading? Or is it just sending my usage monitor nuts?
